Howard Larson is Owner of Larson & Associates, a company designed for Telemarketing, Target Marketing & Trade show Marketing Attacks. And now radio host here at K-PHRED entitled “Trade show Fanatic”. For over 45 years and 1625 Trade shows and Expos as an Exhibitor, an Attendee, a Speaker, Booth Judge,  a Reverse Seller, a Show Scout, a Buyer, Product Sourcing, Exhibit Booth Builder, a Show Manager and almost any other aspect of a show that there is.

What makes or breaks a show is what happens ON THE FLOOR. If the attendees are happy, it is a success. If the exhibitors are and clicking their heels as they head back to the home office, life is good.

Using a self-designed system that have crafted over the course of over 1450 shows and exhibits for both Fortune 100 companies to companies of 1 person armies with dreams of greatness. We have seen how the smallest preplanning can make all the difference. Even a slight change on the floor can increase your show ROI or your attending strategy from failure into a completely successful show.

He has adapted this soft skills, experience and technique with technology there for in using this knowledge to propel a client’s success using multichannel marketing to what in years past took years to bring to fruitarian down as little as weeks. More time is better but if you have a show plan your ahead of 80% of the other people and companies a the same show you are at. For most the only plan they have is LUCK. As an exhibitor, “customers will find us and want us” to attending thinking “I will see the exact product I need”

By knowing the rules Howard has leaned what to break and tweak when necessary or in the words of his father, Bob Larson “You need to know the rules (of advertising and marketing) before you have the right to break them.” Beginning his career in the Graphic Arts in the Family businesses of Larson Graphics and Larson Typographers he was part of taking a $250,000 company to over $1 million in sales in 5 years. Since that time he has worked on sales and marketing efforts to help take 11 other companies to the $1million in sales. His own business, Larson & Associates was established in 1975 and has undergone multiple changes in redesigning, makeovers and refocuses to become a behind the scenes player for small & medium sized businesses exclusively.

He has exhibited at 35,000 attendee shows at McCormick Place down to local Chamber of Commerce shows.

Howard received his undergrad from Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin with a double major in Biology and Philosophy , then advanced to do some work at the University of Wisconsin / Madison to achieve a MA/PhD with a emphasis in target marketing by constructing a serious of Direct Mail Campaigns for actual clients to graph out statistically what campaign could achieve when used with other forms of Advertising, Marketing and Salesmanship got the highest ROI in both % or participation and $ amounts.

He and his wife Kris of over 35 years live in the Suburbs of Chicago and have 4 children.

To keep his sanity Howard sings in the Normennenes Singing Society (a Norwegian Men’s Chorus) in addition to singing with his church choir. You might also find him out running having been an All American Runner 18 times and a Boston Marathon qualifier and participant.

With the experience of over 2125 shows as an Exhibitor, an Attendee, a Speaker, Booth Judge, Food Judge, Reverse Seller, Show Scout, a Buyer, a Manufacturing Rep, Product Sourcing, Exhibit Booth Builder, a Show Manager and all things between he has been in the trenches.

    He has walked and exhibited at 2000 exhibitor / 100,000 attendee shows down to little local half day Chamber of Commerce shows in the high school gymnasium.

    Howard received his undergrad from Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin with a double major in Biology and Philosophy, then advanced to do some work at the University of Wisconsin / Madison MA/PhD and won numerous awards including The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.

    He and his wife Kris live in the Suburbs of Chicago a hotbed of tradeshows and expos in the United States.
